Skies Behind are a fully independent alternative rock band from Cork, Ireland.
The band released a series of singles in 2023 which pioneered the band’s bangers only mentality.

This EP received an overwhelmingly positive reception with prominent Spotify playlist placements in New Music Friday UK, Alternative Ireland alongside reviews in The GOO Guide Dublin, HotPress, Golden Plec Irish Picks, Couch Magazine, Indie Boulevard, and many more.
In support of this release the band also embarked on their first ever Ireland & UK headline tour. "The Spaces Tour", saw them play 12 headline shows all across the UK and Ireland in cities like London, Birmingham, Newcastle and Glasgow. Highlights of this tour included a sold out home town show in Cork and packed out shows at Whelan's - Dublin, Little Buildings - Newcastle, The Sunflower Lounge, Birmingham and Broadcast - Glasgow.
The band draw their influences from acts such as Biffy Clyro, Foo Fighters, Pillow Queens, Bloc Party, Boygenius and many more. Skies Behind is Dan Sheedy (Vocals and Rhythm guitar), Joe Clarke (Drums) and Richard Brett (Lead Guitar).
Skies Behind are also responsible for the creation, curation and running of the UnCorked Independent Music Showcase. This event seeks to further strengthen the community of independent Cork musicians while showcasing their immense talents on Cork’s most iconic stage.
